However I'm glad I did! This set is elegant looking and well made. I was able to install myself in about 25 min. The deadbolt was a little tricky but keep in mind I've never installed a deadbolt before. The internal locking piece on the doorknob is made of plastic. Once installed, the deadbolt wouldn't turn. Took it apart 3 times before I could finally get the deadbolt to turn. The keys do not turn smoothly and I have put a little effort into unlocking either lock than I would like. I'm more afraid of both locks failing and locking me out then someone breaking in. I will be ordering another lockset from someone else. |
